The 2025 Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum (AAT) held from June 11 to 13 at the Tainan Exhibition Center, concluded on a high note. Over the three days, the event attracted more than 17,000 professional buyers from Taiwan and abroad. The exhibition floor was bustling with visitors, and business discussions were vibrant, creating abundant opportunities for collaboration and industry networking.

This year’s event centered around the themes of Sustainability, Innovation, and Food Safety, focusing on three key technology sectors: smart agricultural machinery, automated livestock farming, and aquaculture. More than 150 domestic and international exhibitors participated, showcasing the latest trends and practical applications for the upgrading of agriculture, fisheries, and livestock industries.

In addition, the Expo featured 61 professional forums and seminars covering 10 major themes. These sessions featured experts and scholars from government, industry, academia, and research institutions, sharing cutting-edge technologies and practical insights. Nearly 2,000 industry professionals participated, highlighting the event’s significant role as a platform for technological integration and knowledge exchange in the agri-food sector.

Not only did the exhibition attract impressive visitor numbers, but several exhibitors also reported remarkable business results. Taiwanese startup CHARCO received new orders from US buyers during the event, boosting confidence in its overseas expansion. First-time exhibitor YI TAI HSING secured orders for vertical farming equipment from overseas Taiwanese buyers based in the United States, exceeding their expectations. Meanwhile, ACTA established new business connections leading to orders from Japan, underscoring the competitiveness and appeal of Taiwan’s agricultural technologies on the international stage.

Among the highlights, ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) showcased several innovative solutions, including a smart electric feeding vehicle, an automatic manure cleaning robot for dairy barns, and a dairy cow voiceprint recognition system. These technologies have already been successfully transferred to industry partners, demonstrating outstanding results from R&D to practical application. Tainan Mayor Huang Wei-Che visited AAT, where the exhibits attracted significant attention, and commended ITRI for its contributions to innovation and the advancement of smart agriculture in Taiwan.

This year’s Expo also attracted buyers from 43 countries, facilitating numerous cross-border business meetings. Many Taiwanese companies reached preliminary cooperation agreements with international partners, reaffirming the Expo’s position as one of the most influential platforms for agricultural technology exchange and global market development in the Asia-Pacific region.

Ms. Grace Lee, General Manager of Informa Markets Taiwan, stated, “This year’s Expo emphasized integrated solutions that combine smart technologies with sustainability, which both exhibitors and buyers highly appreciated. We will continue to promote industry collaboration and international partnerships to shape the future paradigm of agriculture.”

The next edition of the 2026 Asia Agri-Tech Expo & Forum will be held in May next year, promising to bring even more innovative technologies and market opportunities for the industry. Stay tuned!
